Northwards you will drive towards Petten through the dunes. The Hondsbossche Zeewering is a 5.5 km long dike near Petten. In the Middle Ages, a storm surge broke through the original dunes. Since that time, the Hondsbossche Zeewering has a long history of storm damage and dike repair. By taking measures such as sand nourishment, the aim is to strengthen the sea wall and ensure safety. From the coast you head inland. You will pass the last meadows before seeing the green fields of the golf course reappear.
