Tasting the history of the Golden Age

The beautiful nature reserve south of IJmuiden is known for its beautiful gardens and forests.
At the time of the Golden Age, the area south of IJmuiden was inhabited by wealthy merchants and this is still reflected in the landscape today. In the National Park South Kennemerland you can feast your eyes on a rich landscape full of historic forests, beautiful gardens and imposing estates. After you have enjoyed the outdoor life in which the elite of the Golden Age resided, you can go and admire the nature around it. From valleys with horses and wisents to oak forests with streams and lakes. In short, along this route you will be short of eyes and ears!
