Along greenhouses and water in the Westland

Cycling through the Glass City in Westland and past plant technology in Delft.
The bike route starts along the water of the Zuidvliet and runs through the Plaspoelpolder. An industrial area where only \"clean\" industry has been welcome since the 1950s. Over 14,000 people work here. In Museum Rijswijk, also called the Tollenshuis, there are permanent and changing exhibitions. The route continues and you will feast your eyes on the Westland area with its many greenhouses. So much glass gives a unique sensation. It has not been nicknamed the Glass City for nothing. After the vast greenhouses and meadows, it's time to dive into the hustle and bustle of Delft. Here you can see plant species that are part of plant technology research during a walk in the Botanical Garden of Delft University of Technology. The Delft wood then has ordinary trees again. These are in a nice spot though because there can be swimming and fishing. A nice place for a break on a hot day. A dip in the Dobbeplas a little further on is also an option. The last stretch shows Ypenburg in the distance where no more airplanes land but residents live comfortably nowadays.
