Around Andijk via Enkhuizen

From Andijk you cycle along the dike along the IJsselmeer. With the afsluitdijk in the distance and Friesland on the other side, you make a turn. Past the vacation park it goes to a special part. The Koopman is a 16-hectare polder. A piece of grassland outside the dike has been transformed into a beautiful interplay of nature, water, landscape art, culture (history) and recreation. Every year from July 15 to October 15, part of it is open to the public. One can reach the viewpoint in the middle of the \"whirlpool\" via a shell path or wander around the dikes. Outside this period, the area is closed due to breeding and wintering birds. Meandering along the many small waters, including Het Valkje, you cycle through the polders to Enkhuizen. You will pass a climbing park, the Archaeological Footpath, several museums in the center and Sprookjeswonderland. Over the dike it is back to Andijk to enjoy a nice bike ride after.
