Cycling route through the head of North Holland

A cycling route that lets you enjoy bulb fields, sea and dunes.
From Hoevezonzicht you can cycle this special route through North Holland. The area between, Den Helder and Petten and east of this is unique. This piece of land between the North Sea and the IJsselmeer has today the largest continuous flower bulb field in the world. In Den Helder you can see the island of Texel and the ferry to it. The terraces, the Naval Museum, the Wadden Sea and the harbor, no one gets bored here. Through the northernmost part of North Holland, you drive through the dunes past the impressive Fort Kijkduin. For young and old it is an experience to walk around here. You continue cycling through the dunes without being bothered by cars. You can smell the dunes and the sea. And if you take a break and cross the beach exit, you can see and even feel the sea. You will pass the cozy seaside resorts of Groote Keeten and Callantsoog. In the latter is a lookout point on a natural dune top. After this wonderful bike ride, you can relax in the garden or in your room at the B&B.
