Cycling tour in Brabant past Mill

Forests and fens characterize this beautiful bike ride through northeastern Brabant.
The start of this delightful cycle route is in the middle of the Langeboomse Bossen, an area characterized by its diversity in terms of flora and fauna, where the route continues through a region, which contains important historical elements. In Mill, remains of Roman settlements have been found and the battle of Mill in May 1940 is known as one of the fiercest in that period. Near Mill is further the beautiful castle Aldendriel, dating from 1477 and today very popular as a venue for weddings and parties. The varied route also runs partly through the Land of Cuijk, a former manor, where landowners frequently used their acquired rights regarding fishing, hunting and leasing. The Belevingsboerderij in Mill is definitely worth a visit. On this artisanal farm, much attention is paid to the production of ice cream and other delicacies and the sheep take a prominent place in the yard. Via St Hubert, the route meanders further along roads, lanes and paths, with a fascinating alternation of forest and heathland and sections with a more open character, especially in the second section.
