From Oosterhesselen into the Drenthe countryside

From the village of Oosterhesselen, you cycle into the Drenthe countryside. With perhaps some delicacies for a picnic in your bicycle bag. You will head in the direction of the Het Klencke estate. This consists of a country house dating from the 17th century, some farms, woods, heathland and grasslands along Het Drostendiep. When you cycle into Gees, you ride through a village with few new buildings. In the center stands De Steen van Gees; a huge boulder. Along the Mepperhooilanden the route continues. Here you can see geese and cormorants while enjoying the beauty of the Drenthe landscape.
