Schokland

Schokland is een voormalig eiland in de Zuiderzee, gelegen in de provincie Flevoland. Het staat bekend als een voormalig Nederlands eiland die werd ingepolderd als onderdeel van de Zuiderzeewerken. Schokland was lange tijd bewoond, maar vanwege overstromingen moesten de bewoners uiteindelijk het eiland verlaten. Tegenwoordig staat Schokland op de Werelderfgoedlijst van UNESCO vanwege zijn culturele en historische betekenis. Kortom een uniek stukje Nederland!
