Bicycle route around Zutphen

Through the heart of Zutphen and its surroundings.
Zutphen has a rich history. From settlement to city rights to one of the Hanseatic cities. In the center of Zutphen is little to no high-rise buildings. A large number of historic buildings have spires. These protrude above the buildings and are therefore easy to see. Zutphen is therefore also referred to as Tower City. From the center, you cycle towards the IJssel River and cross it. In De Hoven, you cycle through narrow streets with old houses and farms including that of Herman Kip. This is known as museum Boer Kip. Just outside the village you will be treated to vistas over the grasslands. You can enjoy nature and tranquility. You cross the river IJssel again and cycle a bit through the southern part of Zutphen, a part of the Gelderland nature reserve to end up back in the center at De Gracht. Here you can enjoy the surroundings.
