Bike route Horssen

During this bicycle route through Horssen, beautiful farmhouses can be admired. You will cycle past Huis te Horssen with a beautiful estate with many trees and various bird species. You will continue cycling through rural surroundings through the land of Maas and Waal to Afferden. Here you will pass Cornmill de Drie Waaien, built in 1896 to grind grain. A good time to dismount and take a closer look at the mill. This mill is open for visits every Saturday! You continue cycling in the direction of the river Maas to Batenburg. A town situated on the river Waal with a lot of history. In the Kruisstraat stands the Old Saint-Victor church. This was largely lost in the 80-year war. Part of it has been rebuilt. From Batenburg you cycle along the Maasdijk in the direction of Appeltern. Here you will find the Gardens of Appeltern, the largest garden inspiration park in the Netherlands.
