Flinty route along Frisian waters

A bicycle route with beautiful views of land and Frisian waters.
From Workum you will leave for a nice route into the Frisian Landscape. You will mainly be cycling. But you will also sail a little bit so don't forget to bring a few euros for the crossing. In several places you can take a break and enjoy something to eat and\/or drink. In the Frisian landscape, trees and ditches in straight lines define the view. The allotment is clearly visible. This was done in the Middle Ages for cattle breeding. Trees often stand on a wooded bank, shielding the surroundings. Passing through Workum, you cycle along De Soal in the direction of Hindelopen. The small town on the IJsselmeer has less than a thousand inhabitants, making it the smallest Frisian town. The picturesque town offers many special vistas and nice bridges. Along the coast of the IJsselmeer you cycle to Stavoren. When you ride behind the dike, you can get off to see the surfers on the other side or put your feet in the water yourself. Stavoren is also a small town with a rich history. Across the Johan Frisos Lock in the Warnservaart you continue along vast grasslands to the waters the Morra, the Kleine Polle and the Kuilart. You cycle under the aqueduct to Koudum. After De Fluessen and the Grutte Gaastmar you will cross De Gons by ferry. A cycle route like this deserves to be rewarded with a delicious meal to finish with.
