Round Drunense dunes

The White Castle is a national monument with estate status. You therefore leave from here with class to enjoy the natural beauty in the immediate vicinity. The Loonse and Drunense dunes are literally around the corner. This natural beauty makes you feel as if you are at the coast. Sand and dune vegetation alternate. It is not for nothing called the Brabant Sahara. Sand plains, heath and forests alternate. Along the way you can even eat a 'sand cake'. After all this natural beauty, you drive through the towns of Drunen and Waalwijk. Anton Pieck left his mark here in the former Autotron. The shoe industry is also still visible here. Waalwijk is the place where writer Paul van Loon spent his youth but he currently lives in Drunen. Those who look closely may see Dolfje Weerwolfje running through the streets. Also the streets in Kaatsheuvel with the Efteling in the background lend themselves to an imaginative interpretation. In the final kilometers you will pass the Experience Island. Here no challenge is too big but you will also find points of rest on 50 hectares.
