The Achterhoek combines peaceful nature with cozy residential towns. This bicycle route takes you through Lichtenvoorde, a place with history dating back to the 14th century. In the market square stands an imposing boulder weighing 20,000 kg, to which Lichtenvoorde owes its nickname \"Keistad. This route also passes through Aalten, known for the Old Helena Church with its unique murals, numerous national monuments, and museums highlighting local textile history. A few kilometers further on you reach Bredevoort, since 1993 the National Book Town, near the Slingeplas - a lovely recreational area where you can even swim in good weather. The route offers a wonderful view of the surroundings.
