Landgoed Oud Poelgeest

Kasteel Poelgeest heeft een rijke geschiedenis die teruggaat tot de 14e eeuw. Het kasteel werd oorspronkelijk gebouwd als een versterkt huis en later uitgebreid. In de 18e eeuw werd het gekocht door de beroemde arts Herman Boerhaave, die de tuinen omtoverde tot een botanische tuin. Tegenwoordig is het kasteel een multifunctionele locatie met een hotel, restaurant en vergaderzalen, en het landgoed biedt bezoekers een mooie omgeving met bossen, vijvers en wandelpaden.
