Natuurgebied Malpie

Natuurgebied de Malpie, gelegen nabij Valkenswaard, is een prachtig stuk natuur bekend om zijn heidevelden, bossen en vennen. Het gebied is deel van de Brabantse Kempen en trekt wandelaars, fietsers en natuurliefhebbers. In augustus en september kleurt de heide prachtig paars. De vennen, waaronder het grote Malpieven, zijn rijk aan vogels en andere fauna. De Malpie biedt ook recreatieve activiteiten zoals kanoën op de Dommel.
