Bicycle route around Oldebroek

Just enjoying nature from 't Loo and around Oldebroek.
From 't Loo, this bicycle route starts at the edge of the beautiful nature of the Veluwe. You drive towards the Drontermeer where you enter the municipality of Elburg. Part of it is a protected townscape and there are many national monuments. In the late 14th century, people made a fortress of Elburg with moats, walls and a number of defense towers. The Vischpoort at the harbor was converted into the present open gate tower in 1592. Elburg has characteristic and by Monumentenzorg protected cobblestone sidewalks. You can see these sidewalks in front of some old houses. They are made of white cobblestones, with inlaid figures of black cobblestones. You continue cycling along the Veluwe Lake. The wide water gives way to the narrow ditches between the vast grasslands. You are treated to vistas left and right until you catch sight of the trees beyond Doornspijk. This route shows you the vastness of nature, from meadows to woods and heathland, past estates and villages. There are two barracks at 't Harde, so you may encounter military personnel.
