Bicycle route around the Loosdrecht lakes

This particularly watery bike route takes you past the beautiful Loosdrechtse Plassen (lakes), vast moorlands and historic villages such as Loenen aan de Vecht, Breukelen, Tienhoven, Maarsseveen and Oud Zuilen. Along the way you will enjoy panoramic views over the water, quiet nature reserves, reed beds and atmospheric dikes. The route offers plenty of opportunity to stop at cozy restaurants, such as in Maarssen and Maarsseveen, or to spot birds around the lake at node 27. You cycle past meandering streams, historic locks and monumental buildings, with the view of the Loosdrechtse Plassen as the highlight.
