Bicycle route around Wells

A nice route where you can enjoy Gelderland to the fullest.
Putten is located on the border of the Veluwe and Gelderse Vallei. You start towards the east and drive through Arkemheen-Eemland. This is a unique area in the Netherlands, created by a long struggle with water. The old pattern of land division and the peat meadow character are clearly visible and unique to the Netherlands. You pass the Sand Sculpture Festival where the most beautiful works of art made of sand can be seen between April and the end of October (not on Sundays). Furthermore, you drive through the Speulderbos. This is known in the area as one of the most beautiful and oldest forests in the Netherlands. Crooked oaks growing in wonderful curves determine the atmosphere. It is called the forest of dancing trees. Feel free to do a dance. The bicycle route continues to the river Het Nuldernauw. With nice weather you can have a nice swim here at Strand Nulde. Along the river the route goes back to Putten. Along the way there are enough moments to eat or drink something. Children who can cycle a good distance will also enjoy this route.
