Cycling route along Schijndel, Veghel and the Aa valley

This varied bicycle route takes you through the rural area of Meierijstad and connects villages such as Schijndel, Wijbosch, Eerde, Zijtaart and Veghel. You cycle through open fields, woods, along the canal and through the Aa valley, with plenty of peace and quiet to enjoy the characteristic Brabant countryside. Along the way you pass atmospheric village centers, stately farms and beautiful nature reserves. The center of Veghel is also part of the route, where you will find culture and industrial heritage, such as the imposing Noordkade. A special part of the route is the river Aa. This meanders between fields, nature and buildings through the landscape and forms a green ribbon of tranquility in and around Veghel. In recent years the Aa has been redesigned to give water more space, resulting in a varied landscape with flowery banks, footpaths and beautiful views.
