You truly imagine yourself in another world along this bicycle route. Cycle along ancient avenues past birch and beech trees some as old as 300 years! You will find many an enclosed meadow and farm on this route. Behind every bend there is something new to discover. So you cycle from one world to another within just a few minutes. Sheep pastures alternate with windmills, here and there a watermill and an occasional vineyard. Picturesque villages, beautiful country houses and castles in Saxon architectural style appear picturesque in this green landscape. This typical Gelderland environment is also frequently endowed with beautiful flora and fauna. Many wild flowers and forestation make this bicycle route a feast for the eyes, but also for the nose! Especially in the summer months, the wonderful smell of honeysuckle is very frequent. For animal lovers, special bird species can be found here such as the kingfisher, various bats and woodpeckers. Also the tree frog occasionally shows itself and can be heard. Of course there are plenty of sheep for children to pet and feed! A cozy restaurant here and there should not be missed on the route!
