Through the Betuwe and along the rivers

Cycling along the many fruit trees and the great rivers.
Starting from The Betuwe Hoeve, all the fruit is growing on both sides of the road. As they say themselves: ladies and gentlemen, eat apples and pears more often. But cherries and other fruits also grow here. The Betuwe is known for fruit growing. In spring the trees are full of blossoms. So in June you eat delicious cherries, in summer there is different red fruit and from September you can go for apples and pears. The Betuwe is a region between the rivers Waal in the south and Nederrijn and Lek in the north. Near Echteld is the Wijenburg castle. A nice place to take a sidetrack for a while. Furthermore, you ride along the Amsterdam Rhine Canal and the Lower Rhine. At several places there are little beaches to take a rest.
