Europees Octrooibureau

Met 107m hoog, 156m lang en 24,7m breed is het hoofdgebouw van het Europees Octrooibureau een ware attractie. Het ontwerp is van de architect Jean Nouvel (F) en Diederik Dam (NL); een internationale samenwerking die goed past bij de Europese organisatie. De zeer slanke schijf in de vorm van een vlaggenschip met stalen constructie en dubbele glasvezel weerspiegelt de lucht, het landschap en is bij lage zon zelfs gedeeltelijk transparant. De enorme vijver complementeert dit beeld.
