Stadstimmerwerf

Aan het Kort Galgewater vind je de monumentale Stadstimmerwerf, gebouwd in 1612 als werkplaats en opslag voor de stadstimmerman van Leiden. Het karakteristieke pand met trapgevel, rode baksteen en het wapen van Leiden op de gevel ademt geschiedenis. Tegenwoordig is het een plek voor kunst en cultuur, waar regelmatig exposities worden gehouden door lokale kunstenaars. Een sfeervolle stop met uitzicht op de Rembrandtbrug en molen De Put.
